The Iowa Games

Providing sports and recreation opportunities for all through Olympic-style festivals, events and programs.

The Winter Iowa Games are held annually late January and early February in Dubuque, with events also held in Cedar Rapids and other Iowa Communities. The Winter Games offers over 20 sports.

The Summer Iowa Games presented by Grinnell Mutual are held annually May-July, with the majority of sports taking place in Ames and surrounding communities.

The Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championships is a free, statewide event that requires no special equipment. Participants get a chance to compete in their hometowns thanks to schools and parks & rec departments.

The Iowa Senior Games is an Olympic-style sports festival for men and women 50 or older. The Games offer medals in 30 sports and focus on fellowship and fun. Age groups are bracketed and Gold, Silver and Bronze medals awarded.
